The Ramsar Convention on Wetlands

The 10th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties (Ramsar, Iran, 1971)

Shuttle buses for participants at COP

Arrival in Busan

There will be 16 Free Shuttle Buses from the Gimhae Int’l Airport to hotels(motels) on the 26 and the 27th Oct. (6 buses will go to Changwon, 5 to Masan, and 5 to Changnyeong.)

• When: 26 Oct and 27 Oct
• Where: from the Gimhae Int’l Airport to hotels and motels in Changwon, Masan and Changnyeong
• Running time: every 40mins (from 08:30 till 21:10)
• 1 English speaking volunteer will be on board each bus and there will be more volunteers at each bus-stop.

A Ramsar Desk will be available just in front of the arrival section at Gimhae Intermnational Airport. Volunteers will guide participants from there to the shuttle buses waiting outside the airport. Please note that the buses do not go to every hotel as most of them are clustered. Instead, there will be some English-speaking volunteers at every bus stop and once the participants get off the bus, they will be assisted by a volunteer to each hotel or motel and will also be assisted during the check-in process.

During the Conference

• When: from 28 Oct. until 4 Nov.
• The morning time shuttle buses will run at 15 minute intervals from 0700 until 1000 (for Masan and Changnyeong, there will be buses every 30 minutes).
• The afternoon time shuttle buses will be at 15 minute intervals from 1800 until 2200 (for Masan and Changnyeong, there will be buses every 30 minutes)
• A total 18 buses will be available. (8 for Changwon, 4 for Masan, 6 for Changnyeong)
• In addition to these buses, there will be 3 buses each with a capacity of 25 persons available for emergency use
• Timetables and routes will be posted at the COP and in each of the Housing Board hotels/motels

Departure at the end of COP

• When: 5 Nov. and 6 Nov.
• Where: from hotels of Changwon, Masan and Changnyeong to the Gimhae International Airport
• Running time: 4 times a day (from 0830 until 2100)
• The pick-up stop will be announced during the Conference
