Yejin Lee

Chargée du soutien au financement des zones humides

Yejin holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature, along with Latin American Studies from Korea University. She is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Green Business and Policy from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

She is committed to bringing finance to address climate change impacts, especially in climate adaptation. Before joining the Secretariat, she worked as intern at Green Climate Fund where she reviewed the projects for climate impact and financial structuring, and supported the pipeline management. Her commitment to promoting climate resilience led her to World Food Programme (WFP), where she worked on a climate risk insurance project for vulnerable communities of Guatemala.

Her previous experience includes African Development Bank, Green Growth Institute, and Development Bank of Latin America, where she contributed to project development and knowledge management for sustainable development.

In her new role as a Wetland Finance Support Officer at the Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands, she will focus on increasing wetland finance and managing small-grant programmes of the Secretariat. She speaks English, Spanish and Korean.
